As Sr. Analyst - Search Engine Marketing, you will help manage growth and acquisition campaigns that focus on acquisition metrics such as unique visitors, conversions rates, cost per acquisition (CPA) and return on ad spend (ROAS). Closely working with data scientists and the CMO, your responsibility will be to take ownership of the management and optimization of our SEM campaigns which is one of the major drivers of our company’s revenue. Over time the successful candidate will take primary responsibility for millions of SEM keywords and make decisions that impact a multi-million dollar ecommerce business.  The ideal candidate understands how to optimize ad spend to drive high volume and strong ROAS and can prove it by demonstrating an understanding and application of online direct response marketing and optimization techniques. In this role, you will work closely with other marketing SMEs while managing acquisition marketing campaigns with specific focus on search channels.

 

Your Day-to-Day: 

  • Daily management and analysis of SEM accounts (Google, Bing, Facebook, etc.)
  • Setup and scale new campaigns and report on their effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities for campaign optimization and execute - keyword expansion, bid optimization, writing ad copy and adjusting landing pages
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to scale paid search marketing channels efficiently
  • Design and conduct marketing experiments and run tests to search for improvements on an ongoing basis
  • Manage the day-to-day of online prospecting and acquisition campaigns so that they meet the target KPIs
  • Adjust and optimize marketing campaigns and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions in order to hit ROAS targets
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills in measuring and reporting on marketing programs and KPIs
  • Develop and implement structured media plans that will deliver against advertising goals and budgets
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to communicate campaign progress and updates
  • Develop pro-active ideas and solutions to meet business objectives
  • Monitor activities of competitors and provide industry trends and learnings
  • Execute special projects as needed

What you bring to the team: 

  • At least 5+ years of online media/marketing experience, preferably with experience in running paid acquisition campaigns such as: paid social or search, native, direct online display, mobile marketing, affiliate marketing
  • Strong understanding of marketing key performance indicators (KPIs) and how they pertain to the success of marketing activities
  • Excels in a dynamic, data-driven, hypothesis driven environment
  • High learning agility and demonstrates ability to work in a fast paced and evolving environment
  • Relentlessly deliver business value. Self-starter able to manage and prioritize own time
  • Data-driven and passionate about number crunching. Highly quantitative and curious
  • Expert in scaling Paid Search campaigns while maximizing profits
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, analytics / STEM field preferred
  • Prior experience managing high budget and large scale SEM accounts a big plus
  • Familiarity with PowerBI, Python, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SQL a plus
  • Exceptional communicator (written and oral) with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Experience using any of the following marketing tech platforms such as: Omniture, Google Analytics, Kenshoo, DFA, Conversant, HasOffers/Tune, Kochava, Nanigans, or Power Editor
