About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Email Marketing Manager to lead Rev’s email marketing program and improve our marketing communication efforts for B2C and B2B customers.

This role will report to the Senior Director, Growth Marketing. As a member of the Marketing team, you will be managing Rev's email marketing strategy and build out thoughtful automation that will improve the customer engagement by delivering most relevant messages at the right customer lifecycle. 

Your duties will include any communication that helps build Rev’s community. Your work will be a blend of technical, hands-on execution and longer-term strategic planning for Rev’s high-growth future. This person should be extremely creative & have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with technical ability to create and manage complex email campaigns. In this role, you’ll work closely with Marketing, Content, Social Media, Video, Design, Demand Generation, Product Marketing and SEO.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of personalized lifecycle email marketing programs
  • Analyze the email audience, maintain and create smartlists, and contribute to marketing strategies to grow our customer base
  • Define and optimize Multi-touch nurture programs to drive customers down the funnel.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to function as a well-oiled engine and manage automations that lead to lead scoring, lead routing, and other backend triggers or actions
  • Act as a Rev brand champion, ensuring all communications are consistent and engaging, while accurately supporting brand strategy
  • Identify the most effective communication tactics to reach relevant market segments and help to support these channels with appropriate messaging. For example, different industries and types of customers (B2B vs. B2C)
  • Write compelling copy for a variety of marketing materials & email marketing campaigns
  • Define and execute our email strategy - from onboarding campaigns to monthly roundups to customer spotlights
  • Make business decisions based on data and impact on key metrics with an ability to pivot strategies
  • Develop and work on an A/B testing roadmap
  • Present weekly, monthly, quarterly and adhoc reports on performance
  • Make recommendations, identify new opportunities and own the channel to deliver KPIs, improve customer experience through the channel

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant email marketing experience in B2B, B2C and SaaS. Ecommerce brand or agency experience is a plus too
  • Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or a related field
  • Exceptional writing skills & background (please provide a portfolio or links to written content you produced)
  • Knowledge of lead generation and conversion optimization best practices for both B2B and B2C campaigns
  • Clear understanding of marketing strategies and concepts for both B2B & B2C marketing, preferably at SaaS companies
  • Hands on experience of HTML and understanding of email design best practices across different devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Team player - great at working with other team members to achieve a common goal
  • Strong ability to research & analyze data on popular analytics platforms like Google Analytics, and email marketing platforms like MailChimp, Pardot, Litmus, etc
  • Experience running a large email program, preferably at a tech or SaaS company
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Personable - you’re comfortable getting to know our users
  • Funny - a good sense of humor helps
