- Be a senior spokesperson for Social Solutions
- Collaborate with the AVP of Communications to create and execute a public relations strategy that amplifies the Social Solutions brand
- Partner with an external PR agency that will help drive brand awareness and market authority
- Provide regular updates on outcomes to the AVP of Communications
- Manage the planning and execution of strategic PR plans
- Help create and implement a PR narrative based on the Social Solutions brand strategy that extends our growth momentum across our segments/business units
- In collaboration with external PR agencies, develop press releases, bylines, blog posts, and other key pieces of content
- Manage press opportunities through to completion - including staffing interviews, developing background bios, briefing executive spokespeople, and tracking through the publishing process
- Establish and nurture relationships with key media contacts with the goal of getting Social Solutions placed in top media outlets
- Create metrics to measure success and impact of corporate communications
- Collaborate with the AVP of Communications and the HR team to drive growth of the Social Solutions employment brand, ensuring Social Solutions is considered a top-tier employer in the tech & social good space
- Work closely with the rest of the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging
- 4-7 years of related external communications or PR experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thrives in a collaborative environment
- Experience in working closely with PR agencies
- Previous track record of successful PR strategy and execution
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an agile and deadline-driven environment
- Ability to deliver on an external communications strategy
- A strong self-starter who is willing to make their mark in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization
- Ability to define key metrics and goals related to both functional and project level progress and success
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the social good or nonprofit sector
- Experience working within the progressive political space
