The Senior Marketing Analytics Analyst works closely with key leadership in the Marketing and Sales organizations.  This role will be located in the Austin headquarters and reports to the Senior Director of Marketing Analytics.  The primary responsibility of this position is to drive improvements in marketing effectiveness and efficiency through the generation of data-driven insights.  This person will be responsible for creating, analyzing, and tracking marketing and sales data and processes, and requires someone who is analytical, creative, intellectually curious, and highly motivated to help build out a new Marketing Analytics team.  This role will use Marketo, Salesforce, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, and other technologies to create, monitor and surface data relevant to marketing campaigns, sales information, website and email metrics, and more, to provide actionable insights as it relates to continuously improving marketing performance.  The ideal candidate must understand how marketing and sales teams work, metrics that are relevant to marketing and sales, and how to provide strategic recommendations based on data insights.  As an extension, you will also lend a hand in driving marketing strategy and a data-driven marketing culture.

 

Essential Functions

  • Work with senior Marketing leadership on analysis of metrics to measure and improve marketing performance
  • Identify actionable insights and trends to optimize marketing strategies
  • Develop reports and dashboards within Tableau in support of Marketing
  • Work with members of the Marketing Operations teams to support all aspects of our efforts, including data measurement, data integrity and system management
  • Define and improve marketing and sales processes, including marketing attribution, lead generation and nurturing, qualification, and opportunity management
  • Liaise with Sales Operations and extended Sales teams to ensure Marketing and Sales are aligned on strategic objectives, campaign management, and lead processes
  • Manage accuracy of critical data points across our various sales systems, including but not limited to Tableau, Salesforce, Market, and various other digital marketing technologies
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis projects within the Marketing department

 

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least 5 years of experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in a highly analytical role
  • B2B Software experience preferred
  • Experience with demand generation, customer relationship management (CRM), and analytics systems – Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau (or similar) required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large amounts of data and translate results into meaningful recommendations aimed at improving business performance
  • Expert in working with Excel, pivot tables, and OLAP cubes
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with demonstrated success in analytic roles
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team player able to build good working relationships with different roles and departments
  • Ability to effectively communicate outputs of complex analyses to at appropriate level
  • Organizational and project management skills are a plus; must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and capable of making sound and timely decisions
