We are seeking a Strategic Events Coordinator that will be a critical member of the field marketing team and demand generation efforts, with a special focus on third party events and owned events. In this role, you will work closely with the Global Strategic Events Sr. Manager, the broader Strategic Events team, as well as the Field Marketing team to plan and execute a wide range of multi-pronged campaigns, with a significant focus on third party events that generate leads and drive awareness and adoption of MongoDB Atlas, our hosted database-as-a-service product. They will assist with all aspects of strategic third party events, including AWS re:Invent, Google Next, and AWS/Google Cloud/Azure Summits, as well as support owned events such as MongoDB World, MongoDB.locals, and MongoDB.live.

  • Work with the Global Strategic Events Sr. Manager on all aspects of strategic third party events
  • Lead end-to-end event coordination, including: materials creation, event messaging/marketing, signage, giveaways, contract negotiation, vendor relations, vendor management, site selection, accommodations, participant registration, agenda scheduling, staffing, on-site production, F&B, and post-event follow up
  • Own post-campaign or event reporting and evaluating, deliver thoughtful wrap-up reports and return on investment analysis, and generate findings for improvement
  • Work with the Field Marketing team to drive increased awareness of third party programs
  • Partner with the Demand Generation team to ensure third party events are supported with well-rounded, multi-pronged campaigns
  • Assist with the flow of leads from field events into marketing automation systems to drive conversions to MongoDB’s products
  • Effectively handle budgets and evaluate return on investment of all campaigns
  • Evaluate and drive partner and third party event co-marketing opportunities
  • Drive operational execution of
  • Handle sponsorships of owned events, including sponsor onboarding, results management, and first point of contact for sponsors during events
  • Develop resources and sessions to enable sponsors (Ex. Sponsorship webinars, Know Before You Go packet, etc)

Requirements

  • 2+ years event, event marketing, or field marketing experience
  • Validated ability to take direction and input to develop engaging events that achieve organizational goals
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools such as Eloqua or Marketo
  • Comfort with using, or learning, tools including Jira, Tableau, Salesforce, and the like
  • Proficiency in G Suite and/or Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Proactive, self-starter, “get it done” attitude
  • Comfort working independently and part of a large, distributed, global team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful events/demand generation campaigns
  • Experience working with or managing sponsors and sponsorships
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally and collaboratively within a team and organization
  • Flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Once travel resumes, willingness to travel approximately 35% (domestically & globally)
  • Experience working with a technology company is a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Based in NYC, Austin, or San Francisco Bay Area, or willing to relocate to one of these locations once MongoDB returns to offices
