Planoly is looking for a thoughtful, driven and growth-minded VP of Marketing to lead the team across all marketing disciplines, including brand, digital, demand generation, product marketing and creative. This role will report to the President of PLANOLY and act as a senior member of the executive team, playing a critical role in driving the strategy and growth of the business. The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical and thrives in a fast-paced environment. A passion for social products, driving growth, and thoughtful storytelling are must.

 

What You Will Do

  • Act as an owner of PLANOLY’s growth targets and lead the marketing team to achieve our goals in the areas of customer acquisition, retention, and brand. Guide the conceptualization and prioritization of marketing initiatives within the context of larger organizational goals
  • Establish KPIs that each marketing function needs to execute effectively. Monitor data from marketing activities, adjusting strategies and plans based on outcomes
  • Own and optimize activities across paid and owned channels, including but not limited to SEM, Social, SEO, email, events, etc..
  • Formulate and drive scalable go-to-market activities and demand generation programs for effective new customer acquisition
  • Develop a deep understanding of the ideal PLANOLY customer and competitive landscape. Collaborate closely with the Product and CS teams to develop strategies to drive customer retention and advocacy.
  • Own the PLANOLY brand, maintaining a clear visual identity and voice across marketing channels and establishing us as a thought leader in the social media space
  • Partner with the People team to develop a best in class employee experience 
  • Shape the marketing team for success through hiring, managing and coaching employees, contractors and partners so initiatives are on time and adequately resourced
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources to initiatives and tools that move the needle.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to maintain the appropriate martech stack for team enablement

Requirements

  • 8+ years marketing experience, ideally at a high-growth technology driven company
  • 2+ years people management experience with the ability to lead and mentor a team of marketers
  • Proven track record of customer acquisition and engagement initiatives that drive measurable impacts to revenue
  • Experience and success in attracting, developing, and retaining A players
  • Familiarity with brand marketing and communications best practices
  • Understanding of Instagram, Pinterest, and well versed in the broader social media industry
  • Excellent organizational skills and communicator (written, verbal, and presentation-led) who can articulate plans, requirements, and insights to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiar with marketing SaaS tools, such as Hubspot, GA, GTM, Search Console, and AppsFlyer. An aptitude for learning new martech tools quickly.
  • Cross-platform application experience a plus (web, iOS, Android)
