At Lithium, our VP Product Marketing is responsible for establishing the positioning and value proposition for Lithium’s engagement platform and underlying products.

This is a pivotal role within Lithium to enable commercial success of Lithium products, helping to set the GTM plan for the coming years. This role will work with global field counterparts, product management, and all marketing functions to deliver strong messaging, value propositions and go to market strategy.

You will become the expert in our market and buyer personas and will develop a firm grasp of the buyer journey, translating that into messaging for sales enablement and global demand generation. You must be a creative thinker who thrives on winning and collaborating as you develop competitive and differentiated positioning.

It is critical in this role that you pursue the challenge, operate with a sense of urgency, seek feedback and have a passion for team success. You will also be ready to bring in strong high potential people to build out a growing team.

As the VP, Product Marketing you'll:

  • Translate brand and market vision into differentiated and compelling product messaging for each audience and enable the outward facing teams to carry our story.
  • Position our products for our sales organization to win through effective sales enablement tools and initiatives. Work closely with PR, AR, and our social teams to gain mind-share and tell our story through media coverage, speaking engagements, our online communities and social networks
  • Use existing industry knowledge, and stay abreast of industry news and events, industry analyst reports and social activity to deliver provocative solution marketing campaigns.
  • Thoroughly understand the competitive landscape, products, and customers, buying triggers and influencers. Feed learned information into Product Management so they can drive product roadmap enhancements.
  • Work in collaboration with demand gen and regional marketing managers to achieve optimal marketing mix and to optimize resource to maximize market impact
  • Create content, assets, and tools including sales presentations, ROI tools, whitepapers, blogs, competitive briefs and other materials

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years B2B of product and solutions marketing experience, in technology/software space (or equivalent skills and knowledge). Background preferably includes marketing of enterprise-class products, such as enterprise software or SaaS solutions targeting marketing and/or support buyers.
  • Previous experience in/knowledge of the core Lithium industries and additional growth industries.
  • Passionate about products, defining and expanding market opportunities and outstanding communication and presentation skills to deliver that passion and vision to any audience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop impactful, fact-based, value propositions (requires strong analytical and creative thought processes). Has the ability to “see the wood from the trees” in pinpointing customer pain points and turning them into differentiated messaging and content.
  • Ability to quickly assess and understand customer buyer journey to improve results, and synthesize into meaningful, quantifiable, differentiated messaging.
  • Strong writing, analytical and presentation skills. Ability to understand complex processes and technologies, and translate into simple concepts (written, graphical, architectural, and verbal).
  • Drive win/loss program and feed into the marketing, sales and product process
