A day in the life of an Associate Application Support Specialist:

The Associate Application Support Specialist provides technical and operational support for all Amherst locations. This role focuses on tier 1 support and system administration across all software applications for both branch and corporate staff. This position will report to the Service Desk Manager

  • Provide tier 1 support for all enterprise applications. This includes identifying and troubleshooting issues with the property management system as well as the intake of enhancement requests.

  • Manage the support queue in JIRA, the ticketing system utilized by Amherst. This includes directing tickets to the correct departments and ensuring SLA’s are met.

  • Coordinate with software vendors on submission and resolution of bugs and enhancement requests.

  • Under the direction of the Supervisor of System Administration, handle the administration of the enterprise applications including user security and system customization.

  • Prepare documentation to support system administrative functions, procedures, and processes including an internal knowledge base for the System Support team.

  • Assist with branch and corporate reporting by creating custom reports and managing scheduled reports.

  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the Service Desk Manager Projects typically include management reporting and process improvement.

Education and Experience Guidelines:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1 years of similar work experience required. Previous success in a fast-paced support or customer service role highly desired

  • Must be tech-savvy and eager to learn with the proven ability to understand and explain the software

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products

  • Property management software experience preferred. Yardi Voyager experience is a plus

  • Experience with accounting software or accounting practices is a plus

  • No travel is anticipated for this position.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
