Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Assemble prototype and production battery modules performing end of line tests
  • Develop assembly procedures and manufacturing work instructions
  • Program laser welder equipment
  • Build and install battery wiring harnesses
  • Support the building of tests stands to perform functional and durability testing
  • Setting-up of test equipment and commissioning
  • Support in-house and outsourced battery testing activities, running tests and recording data
  • Support hardware procurement efforts
  • Support battery system installation on trucks
  • Support system diagnostics

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Strong understanding Class-8 trucks, their sub-systems and application requirements
  • Understanding of engineering prints and documentation
  • Experience in high voltage safety systems
  • Experience in vehicle electrification and testing methodologies
  • Experience in battery technology, associated chemistries and testing methodologies
  • Experience in electrical and wiring systems
  • Design experience desirable
  • Strong follow-through and self-starting nature delegating tasks as necessary to accomplish critical deadlines
  • Ability to positively and effectively communicate with customers (internal and external), to address their needs promptly and to follow through on commitments


Required Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years experience in high tech manufacturing environment
  • Engineering diploma

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, feel, or reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision

Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
