About the Role
Uber's mission is to help people go anywhere and get anything, and our Eats delivery team is a crucial part of that mission. As a Business Strategy & Operations Manager on the US Southwest team, you will help us achieve our strategic goals by solving problems through data driven decision making, developing tools to expose analytical insights, work cross-functionally to drive performance, as well as own some of our most challenging strategic projects/initiatives (from idea to strategy to execution).
What you will do

  • Make strategic decisions to prioritize within functional area; guide and set goals for the team
  • Develop analytical frameworks and reports to support the company in business decision-making and execution
  • Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate processes through data driven insights
  • Build, maintain, communicate, and present detailed reporting
  • Present models, findings and insights to senior management to drive business decisions
  • Collaborate with local and other Central Operations teams, as well as marketing, product, and other functions, to ensure that insights inform broader critical initiatives
  • This role demands excellent stakeholder, project management skills, and analytical skills as well as the ability to both plan and execute projects of varying time horizons and scope with minimal guidance
  • The Southwest Eats Operations team owns functional business strategies as well as local market strategies, and your team will be responsible for monitoring, correcting, and executing business processes


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 2 year of experience in consulting or strategy, project or operations management, or investment banking
  • Data-first problem solver with excellent Excel / data analysis skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience of strategy / consulting / business intelligence or related experience
  • Some high-growth operations, tech, or startup experience is strongly preferred
  • SQL experience strongly preferred
  • Outstanding communication and organization skills
  • Self-motivated individual that works well independently
  • Clear communicator
  • Strong, demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Self-motivated, works independently and possesses strong organization and time management skills
