A day in the life of our Supervisor, Resident Resource Specialists:
Conduct assessments with residents to identify psychosocial, economic, and physical needs of the household
Develops and implements individual service plans, and assesses and tracks residents’ support systems and available community resources
Provides case management and maintains documentation in order to accurately evaluate the resident’s progress and ongoing resident and household needs.
Facilitates resident contact and interdisciplinary sessions with residents.
Provides information and referrals, as appropriate, and supports residents in connecting to appropriate resources.
Supports residents in the stabilization of bio-psychosocial functioning and economic needs
Provides short-term crisis counseling and support
Keeps informed in best practices and community resources for basic needs, housing and financial stability, and related needs.
Participates in budget planning, unit administration, and program development and evaluation.
Participates in organizational workgroups
Provides discharge planning from the case management program
What you’ll need to have:
Master’s degree + 2 years experience in a field related to counseling individuals and case management services + experience leading and managing teams, programs, and initiatives through case assignment, systems adoption, recruitment, and data analysis Knowledge of community resources available for basic needs, therapeutic interventions, and/or psychosocial support.
Knowledge of Federal and State program requirements for services to adults and families with a focus on housing and housing stability
Skill in effective oral and/or written communication.
Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with federal, state, local or nonprofit social service programs.
Skill in preparing clear and concise written reports.
Ability to develop diplomatic relationships with basic needs programs across multiple communities, within and external to the company
Skill in both verbal and written communication
Ability to interact with residents, interns, and organization peers in a strength-based, solution-focused manner
Ability to project manage and/or lead special initiatives and develop subject matter expertise in operational matters impacting residents, team performance, or MSR operational goals
Preferred:
Licensed Social Worker
Bilingual proficiency
Skill in motivational interviewing and solution-focused techniques
Experience in program evaluation and data analytics
Knowledge of theoretical constructs of human development and ecological systems.
Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and counseling techniques used in trauma, grief, or crisis situations.
Experience overseeing or working with social work interns as part of field placements
