Job Description

Procore is looking for a new Chief of Staff to join our Global Marketing Organization. In this role, you’ll direct the development of global marketing programs. You’ll also be the point person to assess existing and potential markets, coordinate technical product development, develop product strategies, and define promotional activities and product launches. 

As a Chief of Staff, your day-to-day responsibilities may include technical sales support, product advertising/promotion, planning, developing, implementing multiple channel programs, and directing the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s). You’ll also leverage your leadership skills to select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

This position reports into the SVP of Marketing and will be based remotely in the US. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Own decision-making authority on behalf of--and in partnership with--the Executive as second in command:

    • Attends meetings and calls on behalf of the Executive

    • Owns functional relationships for Executive

    • Reviews and recommends all decisions ahead of Executive

    • Assembles relevant dashboards and analyses as needed

  • Remain focused on driving Rhythm of the Business, strategic initiatives, and long-term strategy

  • Provide leadership during long-term strategy/decisions for the relevant department

  • Expand a team’s bandwidth and resources through:

    • Team management

    • Meeting preparation

    • Strategically leading on high-profile projects as needed, such as acquisitions and planning cycles.

  • Act as the communication arm for the SVP of Marketing with other executives and leaders, clients, or major stakeholders

  • Provide hands-on deep analytical support and develop actionable insights that will influence key decisions on how to manage various facets of the organization

    • Through synthesizing external/market facts, internal business signals, and various data sets - develop perspectives and advise leadership on various topics above (Financial, Operational, Organizational, Personnel, etc.)

  • Run cross-functional working team meetings efficiently and effectively, with the ability to connect the dots and influence key decisions

  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the executive to facilitate efficient decision-making

    • Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance

    • Supports department-wide goals process and develop key goals to support broad functional objectives

 What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years marketing experience

  • 8+ years of managerial experience.

  • Usually transitions from operational role (finance, sales operations, strategy, etc.) to Chief of Staff

  • Take on CoS role for ~18->24 months, purpose is to get accelerated to VP path 

  • Usually take on major function after 2+ years in CoS role

Location

Procore Austin is the second largest of our offices, occupying six floors in the Chase Tower at the center of downtown Austin.
