Credit Operations Associate (Levelset Capital)

Levelset helps thousands of contractors secure billions in construction payments each month. Clunky document requirements and complex construction payment laws slows payment to 83 days on average. This locks up capital and causes cash pain for millions of contractors, 98% of which are SMBs that don’t always have access to traditional sources of capital. Levelset wants to break this cash crunch for small contractors by integrating capital products into our platform and finding new ways to extend credit using our unique data assets, backed by expertise in lien rights to secure payment.



About The Role:

The Credit Operations team is responsible for all money going out and coming in for Levelset Capital’s Materials Financing Product. The Credit Operations Associate will play a key role in underwriting and collections and helping our program scale. In this role, you will learn the keys to credit, underwriting, and collections. You will be responsible for organizing and managing the document flow from underwriting submission to funding. This person will work with Levelset Capital Sales and our customers to gather information and documents needed to make deals happen.



What You’ll Do: 

  • Pull information from Levelset data and other research sources to develop a credit profile for an applicant and project.
  • Assist with the completing of the Credit Approval Matrix for team review. 
  • Prepare documents for customer signature and follow-up with the customer and suppliers to ensure information is accurate and all documents are signed correctly. 
  • Call on customers for document and payment status.
  • Assist with the collection of fees, finance charges and repayment of the invoices to insure our lien rights are protected. 

 

What You Bring 

  • An understanding of the construction payment process, familiarity with Levelset a plus
  • Experience in research as it relates to property, applicant information and project details. 
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with the team, customer and suppliers.
  • Experience with property research
  • Eagerness to grow with a department that offers unlimited potential for growth
