Curator
About Us & Why We're Hiring
We're changing the way people connect to social care programs.
Findhelp launched over 10 years ago in Austin, TX and has helped over 7 million people find food, health, housing, and employment programs in seconds at findhelp.org
We're powered by tech, driven to do good, and looking for passionate people to join our team. Our mission is to connect all people in need and the programs that serve them (with dignity and ease).
If our mission strikes a chord, we'd love for you to keep reading.
As a Curator you’ll join a dynamic, fun-loving team in Austin, Texas, and help us build the most comprehensive and accurate network of social care programs in the industry. You will help users navigate our site, provide troubleshooting and technical support and assist customers in learning how to use findhelp. In your day-to-day you will ensure that programs on the site are up to date and meet findhelp's standards for accuracy and inclusion so that people can easily find the resources they need.
Responsibility & Empowerment
Findhelp appreciates, respects, and trusts the expertise and judgment of our teammates. We empower them to do what they think is right. We freely admit when we're wrong. If something doesn't go as expected, we learn, bounce back, and make corrections.
You won't be alone; others will be here on site to help, review, reassure, and back you up. We own our processes and collective outcomes as a team.
No Outrageous Hours
We want everyone to have a full life outside of findhelp, and we seldom work more than 40 hours per week. There have been a few occasions where things got busy and people had to put some extra time in, but then they took some extra time off, so it all balances out. We work hard and smart, but we’re in this for the long haul.
Take Vacation (Seriously)
We want you to take vacation. In fact, we have a minimum vacation policy of three weeks per year. Four weeks feels about right (plus 10 paid holidays). It’s important to get plenty of downtime and get out and do something. We’ll look forward to seeing pictures of your adventures in our numerous office chat channels.
Up Your Game
We’re serious about helping you improve your craft. We budget for it. Think conferences, webinars, Lynda/Skillshare subscriptions, certifications, books, and dedicated time away from work to learn something new. We love to see our people grow.
