Desktop Support Technician
Luxury Presence is a post-series A, Stanford StartX-accelerated startup, and we’re looking to hire a Desktop Support Technician to join our technology team. Backed by Silicon Valley’s Switch Ventures, Toba Capital and Bessemer Ventures, we’ve seen tremendous growth over the past year.
As a Desktop Support Technician on the IT team, you will oversee, support, and maintain our organizational laptops/desktops, other systems, and peripherals. You will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. Our team is growing quickly in both product and headcount, which is an exciting opportunity for impact!

You have:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician with hardware troubleshooting experience
- Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
- Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals
- Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
- Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA A+/Network+/HDI certifications preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology is a plus
Your opportunities for impact:
- Administer and resolve issues with end-user workstation, network, and software products
- Prepare, test, and deploy applications for monitoring workstation performance, security, and keeping software up to date
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products to deliver required workstation service levels
- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex workstation issues for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as needed
- When necessary, liaise with third-party support and equipment vendors
- Advising on software or hardware upgrades
- Providing basic training in computer operation and management
- Completing job reports and ordering supplies
