We Are Hiring
Ascension Technologies is looking to hire a Director, Value Management. This is a full time remote position.
The Director, Value Management for Ascension Technologies (AT) reports to the Assistant Vice President, Technology Business Operations, and is responsible for leading the organization's value management
program and team. This position will work closely with AT senior leaders and AT operations and finance leaders.
What You Will Do
Position Accountabilies:

  • Manage the AT Cost Optimization Program by:
    • Establishing and leading cross functional teams to identify, drive and
      deliver continuous IT cost reductions
    • Validating savings realization and tracking progress against
      established targets
    • Reporting results to AT and finance leadership
  • Provide business analytics and intelligence capabilities to the organization
    by:
    • Running and maintaining the analytics software platform
    • Providing AT leaders will clearly defined metrics to inform decision
      making and identify areas of improvement
    • Continually identifying new opportunities to use data to drive more
      effective and efficient operations throughout all areas of AT
    • Identifying and resolving data gaps (lack of data or lack of reliable
      data) to ensure that TBM information can be relied upon by decision
      makers
  • Direct the IT Procurement team which purchases all IT hardware, software and services for the organization
  • Lead our Vendor Financial Management team which provides financial analytics, invoice auditing, cost forecasting and AR management services for our major IT vendor partners
  • Direct the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) team which provides provisioning, inventory management, audit, variance analysis, cost forecasting and invoice payment capabilities pertaining to all telecommunications and networking services
  • Lead the AT Value Realization Program by:
    • Providing tools and training to AT leaders to facilitate, promote and maximize value capture on IT investments
    • Enduring approved projects and programs have well defined and documented business cases and benefit plans
    • Auditing competed initiatives to measure value realization against stated objectives
    • Reporting results and lessons learned to Ascension and AT leaders on a periodic basis
  • Creation of an environment within the AT Value Management department that fosters teamwork, effective communication, responsiveness and customer service and embraces change
  • Perform special assignments or projects as directed and serves on committees and task forces, as assigned
  • Promote and practice the Ascension Values; Service of the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity and Dedication


What You Will Need
Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.


Work Experience:
• 5 years of experience required.• 10 years of experience preferred.• 2 years of leadership or management experience required.• 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences
The position requires a strong financial acumen with significant experience in financial analysis and financial management. The position also requires extensive knowledge of technology business operations and healthcare operations. Strong communication skills (verbal and written), critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to present complex information to varying levels of individuals throughout the organization are essential. Abilities to influence, lead cross functional teams and manage through change are critical.
