RigUp is hiring a full-time IT Director in Austin. In this role, you’ll manage our corporate and acquired business unit IT efforts focusing on policy development and implementation, cross-functional executive stakeholder management including both corporate functional leads and business unit general managers. You will be supported by a line IT manager and team, with your focus being on organization development planning and budgeting, as well as the vetting, procurement, integration, and customization of software and SaaS solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Set direction for the IT team and support the IT operations for over 900+ employees and contractors at Rigup HQ and remote offices
- Develop security policies and best practices as detailed in security assessment reports
- Develop M&A integration policies and procedures with respect to IT services
- Support department-specific applications and processes
- Own company-wide tooling including budgeting, approval process, and quarterly reviews with department heads
- Through your line manager and team you will also be the owner of:
- IT service desk support
- All aspects of office IT equipment including networking and A/V
- Building relationships and negotiating deals with vendors and 3rd party contractors
- All IT projects and paving the way for new IT initiatives
- Managing assets using JAMF and Intune to maintain active inventory, deploy policies and software, and maintain patch levels
- Supporting large company-wide meetings for local and remote offices
- Continually evaluating staffing needs to maintain or exceed expected support levels
- Working with architects, PM’s and contractors to manage new office builds
What you should have:
- 8+ years of corporate IT management experience
- Prior experience with managing IT at rapidly growing companies
- Strong skills managing cross-functional executive stakeholders, understanding their needs and expectations, building scalable processes with a pragmatic balance of process robustness and stakeholder operational flexibility
- Experience partnering with finance and technology teams to support procurement and infosec efforts
- Proven hands-on leadership experience
- Knowledge of Mac and Windows OS, Gsuite, JAMF and Intune
- Fundamental networking concepts including subnetting, domain and DNS management, and troubleshooting
- SSO experience with Okta, Gsuite or other tools Cloud application security knowledge
- Understanding of Bettercloud or other 3rd party automation suites (great to have)
- Video conferencing support with Meet and Zoom (great to have)
