We are looking for a passionate, data driven fulfillment guru who is able to jump into a fast paced environment to develop and lead our Logistics Operations (Transportation, Distribution, Fulfillment) strategy and day-to-day operations. You’ll be responsible for streamlining supply chain, bridging the gap between customer service and fulfillment, strategizing, planning, and implementing key operation systems and projects that align with the company’s growth trajectory. You will play an integral part in building and reshaping our distribution strategy. This position will require a hands on approach with our fulfillment partners and you will report to our CRO and CEO to accomplish the below responsibilities. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage logistics, fulfillment and inventory procurement
  • Oversee inventory management + 3PL/vendor partnership(s)
  • Track inventory levels and shrinkage weekly
  • Review packing quality with 3PL team
  • Review bi-weekly invoices from 3PL
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience team to manage customer expectations
  • Manage import/export logistics, including customs documentation and resolving any customs holds
  • Order inventory for Packaging Tape, Custom Boxes, Gift Bags & Dust bags
  • Further refine and develop strategies related to inventory control
  • Manage sample sale inventory off-site
  • Send weekly sales + inventory reports

 

Duties: 

  • Work closely with 3PL team to ensure inventory is properly managed, quality of product is held to the highest degree, and deliveries are on time.
  • Create and maintains SOP’s for all fulfillment, inventory control and logistics processes
  • Plan and execute strategic growth initiatives across the supply chain in inventory, distribution center, order fulfillment, and home delivery
  • Help negotiate supplier costs and carrier contracts to ensure the best possible rates
  • Develop and communicate inbound tracking and forecasting system for all items
  • Manage the corrective action process to address any service disruptions caused by logistics vendors
  • Analyze seasonal inventory and make recommendations in regards to markdowns or promotions
  • Analyze aged inventory as well as risk in inventory for potential marking down
  • Forecast sales margin at a department and class level in the planning system based on changes in trend, strategy, receipts or business climate ?
  • Assist VP of Production when placing orders based on knowledge of revenue goals, sales history & budget
  • Analyze sales to achieve goals with attention to top sellers, trends, opportunities & insight on KW customers - enable us to plan better and order more efficiently each season to avoid over-ordering or under-ordering.
  • Work with Internal and External partners to ensure proper accounting on inventory
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure that all relevant requirements of delivery, cost and quality are met to support operations

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years experience in a Logistics and Fulfillment type role
  • Managerial experience required 
  • Vendor sourcing & relationship management experience 
  • Ability to diagnose opportunity areas and implement measurement techniques to drive KPIs
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver 
  • Data driven with high attention to detail 
  • Takes personal pride in work quality and individual growth
