The Role:  Director of Procurement

This Director of Procurement position will report directly into the Corporate Controller and oversee all aspects of the strategic sourcing and procurement process including identifying potential cost savings and operational efficiencies and developing sustainable, scalable procurement policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the development and enhancement of existing procurement processes and policies to ensure the organization has the proper controls and visibility into business expenditures
  • Liaise with business partners and organization leaders to identify and implement cost saving strategies and initiatives
  • Lead or support the business in RFP processes and negotiation of critical vendor agreements to ensure proper risk mitigation and favorable economics
  • Evaluate existing vendor and partner contracts for opportunities to generate spend efficiencies or mitigate future cost increases
  • Create reporting and dashboards that can be utilized by operational teams when making purchasing decisions
  • Work closely with the FP&A and Accounting department to ensure proper forecasting and expense coding and recognition for larger procurement initiatives
  • Be a primary point of contact for supplier procurement inquiries
  • Train key business personnel on contract negotiating skills and tactics

Qualifications

  • 10 years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably with a technology company
  • Mix of corporate and consulting experience preferred
  • Proven record of achieving material financial and operational results
  • Strong knowledge of key contractual terms for various contract types (services, software, etc)
  • Strong leadership with an ability to influence and drive change within the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional data organization and analytical skills
  • Ability to complete tasks in efficient and timely manner
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook required
