Director of Regulatory & Compliance
ABOUT THIS POSITION
We are looking for a Director of Regulatory & Compliance to lead a team wholly dedicated to ensuring Aceable’s expanding multi-state, multi-vertical catalog of online course offerings continue to meet government regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Enablement, this role of director/player/coach will have a team of awesome, dedicated regulatory professionals to work with. If you love leading a great team through the regulatory/compliance environment and don’t mind getting involved in the detail of statutes and regulations, then this might be the position for you!

Aceable is a mobile education platform designed to create affordable, engaging, and convenient online courses available across mobile devices. Built by former teachers, NASA engineers, and those passionate about education, our team is obsessed with helping people reach their life goals and milestones through online certification.
After launching our first mobile app to provide accredited driver's ed courses, Aceable expanded into real estate education and most recently entered into healthcare education. Aceable serves hundreds of thousands of students per month, but we need your help to tackle our vision of serving millions of students per month!

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead a team of regulatory professionals in the position of a player/coach that ensures that Aceable, its products, and services comply with all necessary regulatory requirements in the states where Aceable does business
- Ensure that Aceable Inc is in good standing with regulatory agencies, manage the relationship with the same, and manage all necessary regulatory filings in order to maintain Aceable in compliance
- Manage the research, documentation and updates necessary so that internal teams at Aceable have all the information they need to ensure that our products and services comply with all regulatory requirements at all times
- Continuously assess the regulatory risk environment at Aceable and provide guidance to internal teams on how to best manage it
- Develop a strategy and execute ongoing lobbying activities to advance Aceable's strategic objectives
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 7+ years of relevant regulatory and compliance management experience
- Proven ability to lead a regulatory and compliance team in the role of player/coach
- Experience managing a sometimes complex and changing list of team priorities and stakeholder expectations
- Impeccable communication skills
- Ability to build long-lasting, trust-based relationships with regulatory agencies
- Experience conducting independent research on various rules, regulations, and market data and produce summary reporting of results to key stakeholders
- Ability to partner with the Legal Department and cross functional teams to address complex regulatory and compliance matters
