Director of Strategic Programs / CEO Chief of Staff (GoodCo)
Overview
GoodCo is searching for a dynamic, strategic, operations-focused Director of Strategic Programs (DSP) to report to Erin Mulligan Nelson, GoodCo CEO .
The Director of Strategic Programs will ensure the timely and accurate completion of multiple strategic initiatives occurring simultaneously. This role will be responsible for providing analytical support, strategic assessment , and cross-functional implementation leadership.
If you are adept at performing hard analytical projects, operating with soft people skills, and adapt ing to rapidly changing business needs, then this job will provide you a great deal of personal satisfaction. Key s to your success are strengths in business process assessment, measurement and re-engineering, the ability to leverage technology to implement business solutions for scalability , and the ability to influence cross-functionally. This is a "roll up your sleeves" organizational role; the successful candidate is expected to perform all functions from administrative processing to leading change initiatives.
Responsibilities & Requirements
What You'll Do
- Lead cross-functional, high-impact projects as directed by the CEO:
- Operate at a tactical, strategic and operational level, handling the oversight of projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility in order to enable revenue growth and / or accelerate Impact Agenda outcomes
- Determine and trac k metrics that measure the successful implementation of various strategic projects and initiatives , report out on conclusions driven by data and analysis .
- Proactive ly identif y issues that could impact the successful achievement of business objectives or initiative success; i dentify and elevate those issues to resolve the problem and further mitigate the risk.
- Implement, coordinate, and improve software company best practices enterprise wide
- Elevate and improve our operations :
- Perform research to establish superior benchmarks, analyze supporting benchmark data, and make recommendations; serve as an early warning system to the CEO and ELT.
- Find and recommend ways to drive operational efficiency, especially with our internal processes.
- Cultivate close relationships across Senior Leadership Team and promote team operational excellence identifying and executing opportunities to optimize our organizational systems and processes with a focus on agility .
- Strategic Plan n ing and Execution :
- Act as point of contact for interactions with Apax OEP (Operational Excellence Practice) on special project s .
- Coordinate interactions amongst and support to the CEO and ELT as needed ( e.g. lead on setting agendas for offsites, coordinat e sell - side processes etc.)
- Partner with the CEO and CFO / ELT on post-M&A activities to drive acquisition integration .
Who You Are
- 10 + years of experience in a combination of operations, strategy, consulting or an equivalent field
- 3+ years of proven track record effectively interacting with executive teams and senior management
- Able to comfortably dive into any area of the business or product, understand business needs, and facilitate executive decisions based on changing priorities
- Financial prowess and ability to create budgets, models, etc; an expert in spreadsheet manipulation
- Data insight enthusiast and ability to provide analysis, recommendations and options regarding high impact decisions
- Extensive program/project management experience with ability to track, prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects to success
- Superb people, management and communication skills with ability to interact with peers, senior Executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and external third parties
- Emotional intelligence and ability to establish strong and trusting relationships
- Intellectual curiosity paired with a high growth-mindset
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
- BA/BS Degree
