JobDescription: 

Vista isexperiencing strong success, resulting in increased demand for consultingservices and growth of VCG's Product and Technology team. Our team operatesacross the investment lifecycle including evaluating the risks and strengthsassociated with the product and technology of potential new investments as wellas partnering with portfolio companies to implement and drive operationalexcellence in software development by optimizing people, process, tools andtechnology. This is an exciting opportunity to own and define product andtechnology best practices within highly-distinguished software companiesthroughout the APAC region.

We are searchingfor an Executive Director to be part of our APAC operations, which is designedto facilitate portfolio company connections in region, strengthen the Vistacompanies that do business in / have employees in the APAC region, supportcompany operations, Product Development and Customer Success activities in theregion, identify and develop local partnerships that will drive Vista companysuccess, and serve as an anchor point for Vista expertise within the region.

Understanding product and technology maturity and theirability to support the investment thesis is critical to success and long-termvalue creation. The Executive Director of APAC COE will partner with other teammembers to advise portfolio companies to achieve transformational success, byimproving or changing their technology organization, stack and processesaligned with the value creation plan. In addition, this individual will partnerwith other members of the Product and Technology practice to provideacquisition guidance, market and technical due diligence, technology roadmapassessments and technology and organizational integration planning.

Detailed responsibilities include:

This role will be focused on value creation activities inthe Delivery centers of Vista portfolio companies in the APAC region, by beingclose to the APAC management teams, speaking similar business language andprovide hands-on support in crafting value creation plans. The keyresponsibilities would include:

o DueDiligence of prospective Vista acquisitions including APAC assessments

o CoordinateAPAC Summits, Hackathons and deep-dive workshops

o Championand breed a culture of process, design, and engineering innovation andexcellence

o Be the 'voicefrom the ground' and act as the liaison for the region

o Help inOrganization design thru operations assessment, gap analysis, recommendationand implementation

o Leadershipassessment and identifying suitable candidates for leadership roles atportfolio companies in APAC region

o EstablishManagement coaching and Leadership Development programs

o Provideinterim leadership as required during transition periods

o CreateEnterprise strategy for Talent acquisition and development

o Workwith Engineering and Product Management teams to evolve and help implement theTechnology Roadmap for the portfolio companies

o Adviseon technical risks and opportunities related to product scalability,reliability and security Define, document, implement and continuously improvesoftware development best practices for achieving product development operationalexcellence across Vista's portfolio of companies

o Drivethe implementation and adoption of software development best practices (people,process, tools, and technology) across the portfolio

• Leadership in a product development role with progressive responsibilities over the last 15+ years
• 15+ years of software engineering management experience with previous experience: defining requirements, setting the technology roadmap and implementing the software engineering & architecture process
•  Experience as a Site Leader or at a Big 5 or boutique consulting firm preferred
• Must have a track record of successfully building and shipping products and services from inception to delivery
• Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to work with clients and present to C-level executives and establish immediate credibility and rapport
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and client deliverable experience
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple high stress and demanding projects and priorities simultaneously with absolute focus and attention to detail
• Thorough understanding and successful implementation of leading cloud-based technologies and enterprise application frameworks in multiple different industries
• Strong business acumen as it relates to technology and product investments in the enterprise
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders of varying levels of seniority
•  Ability to assimilate disparate sources of information and adapt to evolving business requirements
•  Ability to skillfully negotiate ambiguity and achieve superior results in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Receptive to a quickly changing and adapting landscape and priority
• High emotional intelligence and genuine intellectual curiosity are a must
• Flexibility to travel up to 75%

Education

Bachelor'sDegree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent required.Post graduate work, (Master's degree) preferred
