Chive Media Group is looking for a GM of eCommerce. We are looking for an individual to collaborate with senior management to build and implement a multi-year strategy to grow and optimize their business unit, The Chivery.

This position reports to the CEO and President of Chive Media Group. This person needs to be a hustler, with proven leadership and employee career growth skills. Thinking and planning strategically while being able to work tactically is a must. We need this person to be able to get down and dirty, understand our core audience and take our eCommerce division to levels we have not yet seen.

Job Description:

  • Analyze and assess the structure and effectiveness of the existing operations of The Chivery.
  • Manage the P&L and develop a yearly eCommerce business plan and annual budget.
  • Supervise web and mobile product development efforts.
  • In charge of setting eCommerce KPI’s, as well as accountability.
  • Identify current needs based on existing business structure, new technology and market competition.
  • Direct and manage all internal teams as well as manage all 3rd party external teams pertaining to web/mobile development, design, marketing, accounting, legal and production/fulfillment.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Service & Planning departments to forecast weekly/monthly sales, margins and review financial rollups.
  • Conduct independent and team research to assess value and impact of proposed initiatives.
  • Work with HR to identify key employee position gaps and hire as needed.
  • Instill a results focused culture with clear goals that are connected to critical priorities.
  • Requirements:

  • 7+ years of eCommerce management experience with proven ability to develop/implement a successful eCommerce strategy.
  • A proven leader with excellent management skills (lead, coach inspire and develop).
  • Experience developing a framework to analyze and report on eCommerce merchandising performance.
  • Strong understanding of our brands and our audience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
