About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for answering the critical questions about how we grow the Pay As You Go (PAYGO) business. You will partner with teams across Cloudflare to gather the data required to build insights into the customer lifecycle and the drivers of monetization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SaaS metrics and forecasting.
What you'll do
- Own the analysis strategy of a rapidly changing business.
- Develop and deploy metrics and frameworks for performance analysis across all portions of the acquisition funnel and the entire customer lifecycle.
- Identify key trends in every aspect of the business and own the ongoing measurement of those trends.
- Build and maintain the processes to predict future business outcomes based on previous outcomes.
- Monitor and report regularly on leading indicators of business health.
- Translate complex concepts into understandable and actionable insights through the use of visualizations and written communication.
- Gather and analyze large amounts of information and rapidly problem solve.
- Work closely with people across numerous roles to identify additional information that can be used to improve insights.
Example Initiatives and Programs that you will own
- Identify the root cause of an unexpected change in retention.
- Estimate the revenue impact of a pricing change.
- Build a dynamic LTV/CAC channel model.
- Determine the likelihood for a free user to monetize based on the acquisition channel.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge, and experience
- Knowledge of the key drivers of SaaS growth for an online business.
- Analytical work in marketing, finance, and business operations.
- Advanced fluency in SQL and large relational datasets.
- Experience using R and / or Python to do more advanced analysis and data visualization.
- Exposure to common BI platforms like Tableau, Data Studio, and similar tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver simple and actionable analysis.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent practical experience (MBA is highly preferred).
