First Dollar is building the “Stripe for Healthcare” – a modern platform for consumer directed benefits that enables health plans, TPAs and benefits administrators to deliver market leading benefits for their individual and employer customers. Founded by a repeat founding team with prior exits to athenahealth and Expedia, First Dollar has ambitious plans to make healthcare work as it should by improving how people pay for it.

Our ideal Head of Customer Success is a proven leader – one with a demonstrated track record of customer success outcomes. You get excited at the prospect of leading the customer success team for an emerging fintech company. You have a knack for the people management and systems design behind customer success, care deeply about working with customers, and believe well run customer success can be a competitive advantage.

As a member of our leadership team reporting to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for leading and growing our customer success team. We’re responsible for powering benefit accounts used by 25% of Americans, so your oversight will stretch across end user support, employers who employ those end users, and enterprise health plan deployments. You’d join an existing team of product-minded people who have a track record of successfully building large-scale products that have been deployed around the world.

You will work on:

  • Own the customer experience behind benefits used by 25% of Americans, including HSAs, FSAs, HRAs, Dependent Care, Wellness & more.
  • Define, lead and grow the team behind all customer success functions at First Dollar. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves while simultaneously building out process documentation, tooling & teams to scale as we grow.
  • Report to the CEO and play a key role on the leadership team. Our CEO, engineering, sales & products leads will be common partners to help you get things done (but the customer buck stops with you).

Requirements

You may be a fit if:

  • 5-10 years of experience leading customer success teams.
  • Previous people management experience
  • Team player who embraces a mindset that “no task is too small”
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
  • You’re looking for a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Financial, healthcare or employer benefits experience is a plus.
