Job Description

We’re looking for an IT Internal Communications Specialist to join Procore’s Information Technology department. In this role, you’ll partner with leadership and individual contributors across the Information Technology organization to support the conception, creation, editing and dissemination of communications for individual and project-related messages.

As an IT Internal Communications Specialist you will helps to develop departmental and corporate communications that range from recurring announcements to impactful and critical communications surrounding strategy, change management and human resources topics. This position reports into the Chief of Staff, IT and can be based remotely in the U.S., or in any one of our offices in the U.S. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Consults with internal business partners to determine communication needs.

  • Exercises judgment and advises business partners regarding message tone, format, timing, vehicle, and audience segment to ensure the best and most effective approach for communication

  • Manages Information Technology newsletter and departmental newsletters and provides editorial oversight, as well as company-wide messaging on behalf of the department and senior leadership

  • Maintain editorial calendar to track and prioritize Information Technology communications, including supporting senior leaders with content creation, copy editing, and graphic design

  • Create templates, resources, and messaging guides for managers and assist with tool management for departmental internal communications

  • Coordinates communication project activities for internal business partners on projects

  • Develops and monitors communications project plans, ensuring timely distribution of materials for routine announcements via Information Technology town halls, emails, Slack, AMAs, and videos

  • Review and utilize metric reporting for assessment by senior leaders to ensure alignment of communications materials and their effectiveness against departmental goals/strategies 

What we’re looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or a related field required

  • 2+ years of professional experience in internal communications or related field

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex content and write for impact

  • Strong organization, time management and ability to prioritize and project management skills

  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels

  • Self-driven, with the ability to deliver, often with limited guidance

  • Experience working across various communication platforms is a plus

Location

Procore Austin is the second largest of our offices, occupying six floors in the Chase Tower at the center of downtown Austin.
