As a Systems Administrator, you will help scale DISCO by orders of magnitude and extend the organisation’s presence globally while ensuring the security of the company’s intellectual property and user data. You will be responsible for administering networks, Identity, collaboration tools while deploying and integrating new services and acting as an escalation point and mentor for our growing IT helpdesk.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage communication and collaboration tools (Google Workplace, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Zoom) and other SaaS applications
  • Deploy and Manage endpoint devices at scale, including macOS, Windows 10 and ChromeOS
  • Manage, maintain and ensure the availability of office AV and telepresence solutions
  • Build, maintain and enhance our office wired and wireless network environments
  • Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and purchases
  • Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards supporting systems software procurement and development efforts
  • Identify and implement internal IT process improvements
  • Maintain and update our internal IT documentation and user knowledge base
  • Act as an escalation point and mentor for the Service Desk

Who You Are

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience managing and maintaining IT systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing macOS and Windows endpoints
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting WAN, LAN and WLAN networks
  • Have experience with the administration of Google Workplace, Okta, Jira and Confluence
  • Have worked with Cloud-Based Unified Communications and Conferencing solutions
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills, with a passion for problem solving and investigation

Even Better If…

  • You have experience with a cloud-only environment
  • You have experience managing and maintaining systems in AWS
  • You have scripting skills in Bash, Powershell or Python
