IT Systems Engineer

Location : Austin TX

ClearDATA is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to join our Network and Security Team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your large enterprise level expertise and gain new experience in the world of hosted and managed services while being part of the Health Care revolution to the Cloud.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in large complex environments, as well as a demonstratable history of collaborating on large multi-disciplinary projects. Come and help us build the healthcare cloud of the future. In this role you will support the internal infrastructure of the company and focused on improving security remediation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the delivery of complex Network and Security based projects, directly affecting ClearDATA's security strategy to meet technology and business requirements on time and within budget.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for internal infrastructure needs; Windows/Mac Clients to back end network and security architectures and respective tooling.
  • Communicates with Program Management Team on ongoing status, milestones, successes, and risks for assigned remediation tasks.
  • Analyze technical requirements and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Technical Consultants, to drive remediation planning and execution.
  • Participates in the design, architecture, rollout, and maintenance of core IT initiatives and projects focused on Active Directory, End Point Protection, Infrastructure Management, Security Management.
  • Partner with Vendor Consultants to design, plan and implement additional technology features surrounding endpoint protection.
  • Participate in the Change Management Process for all execution tasks resulting in a change to our Production Environment.
  • Tracks, manages and enforces endpoint client saturation for all internal Assets within Asset Management tool.
  • Own and administers application suite of tooling for Endpoint Protection.
  • Serve as Ambassador for internal Asset Management Program Compliance.
  • Work in Jira Kanban to manage assigned work supporting internal infrastructure remediation efforts; focused on end point protection and server environment.

What you will need:

  • 5 years’ experience designing, administering and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory; includes GPOs, federation, patching, upgrade planning, virtualization.
  • 2 years’ experience configuring and administering O365.
  • Experience with AppleCare for Enterprise or enterprise level Apple Mac-device support.
  • 3 years’ experience managing endpoint protection.
  • 5 years’ managing client saturation in large enterprise environments
  • Experience with VMware products (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) and virtualization implementations
  • Experience working on network and security-based projects
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Ability to self-manage work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Deep knowledge of MacOS, Linux, Windows

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience implementing/supporting a Zero Trust Enterprise: Duo
  • Experience as a Consultant
  • Experience administering routers, switches and firewalls, specifically Cisco and Palo Alto Networks
  • Public cloud work experience: AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Experience working within an ITIL-based enterprise
  • One or more of the following;
    • MCSA/MCSE
    • CCNA
    • AWS CSA-A

We are located in the center of downtown Austin, corner of 6th & Congress. Our funky office space is in the Scarbrough Building, built in 1909.
