Babylon Health is seeking an individual to provide administrative support to clinicians as they deliver virtual visit consultations on the population health team working remotely across the US.


As a member of a team of nurses, community health workers, social workers, registered dieticians, physicians, pharmacists, and program coordinators, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of people living with complex and/ or chronic conditions.


This is a Managed Medicaid contract and experience in women’s health and/or paediatrics is desired. You will connect with members by phone to support the clinical team to improve their health, better understand their illness, and coordinate their care. The primary work setting is remote or in-person at appropriate locations approved by the Company. 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:

  • Connect with the patients remotely, over the phone, or in-person at appropriate locations approved by the Company
  • Conduct telephone outreach to members
  • Connect meaningfully with customers to build emotional engagement and customer advocacy
  • Works closely with the clinical team to support patient engagement and confirm the patient has connected with resources, as appropriate
  • Manage back-end support processes, including but not limited to updating patient profile information and provide follow-up on clinical test and treatment results, prescriptions, and referrals
  • Manages Clinical Inbox for the practice – ensures that Inbox is cleared on a daily basis
  • Work with the clinical care team to ensure results are reviewed, interpreted, and reported to patients in a timely manner by physician and/or registered nurse
  • Ensure all support interactions adhere to regulatory, brand, and support guidelines
  • Recognizes urgent results and manages/escalates them
  • Coordinates with Support Agents for patient communications
  • Serves as point of clinical escalation for Support Agents
  • Responds to urgent patient needs flagged by Support Agents
  • Coordinate with the clinical care team to resolve prescription inquiries and errors 
  • Update and maintain notes in business operating system
  • Coordinates any follow up needed with PCP’s/SpecialistsCoordinate calls between member and primary care physician office staff to schedule patient appointments 
  • Reviews and prepares provider task lists as part of pre-visit planning to assist with closure of care gaps
  • Works closely with the Quality and Nurse Managers to identify quality metrics and support coding and documentation efforts
  • Works with the Patient Outreach Coordinator to help patients access community and governmental based service agencies including possibly filling out paperwork for the patient in addition to helping with the Babylon platform
  • Take ownership of any issues that come your way in order to provide our members a support experience that goes beyond their expectations
  • Participates in the integrated care team meetings 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelors in health sciences or social service fields preferred 
  • Experience working with Medicaid/Medicare/Vulnerable Populations 
  • Service-minded and customer service focused
  • Must demonstrate excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including exceptional listening skills
  • Computer proficiency and strong computer literacy
  • Demonstrated interest in working with an underserved population
  • Must demonstrate intellectual independence and willingness to learn new skills
  • Effectively leverage resources to create exceptional outcomes, embraces change and constructively resolves barriers and constraints
  • Experience working directly with patients, physicians, physician office staff, healthcare team, etc. telephonically (i.e. call center).Experience with coordinating care, advocating, or navigating on behalf of patients.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, third-party insurance, copayments, etc
  • Knowledge of telephonic translator services and how to use them
  • Strong work ethic built on a foundation of proactivity and teamwork
  • Able to work independently and as a positive member of a team
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to stay calm and empathize with clients when they are upset
  • Ability to be empathetic and sympathetic to clients needs and stay calm when they are upset
  • Able to follow all HIPAA rules by maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Demonstrated success in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team including communicating and working with Physicians and Registered Nurses
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Athena Electronic Health Records (EHR) experience
