Join our Ascension Michigan ACO Operations team as a Provider Enrollment Specialist. This is a full time position located at our Corporate Service Building, Warren MI. Schedule will be Monday - Friday with no weekends and 8 hour days.

What You Will Do
Oversee the completion, submission and maintenance of provider enrollment for facilities and physician subsidiaries seeking government reimbursement.

  • Coordinate reviews of provider applications by appropriate departments. Develop and implement business solutions and procedures to prevent and mitigate issues and risks related to provider enrollment reporting requirements and record keeping.
  • Develop and maintain systematic reporting processes to collect and report relevant data required for government provider enrollments, updates and revalidations.
  • Resolve issues related to enrollments and updates as identified by fiscal intermediaries and/or government agencies and provide timely response to related requests for information in a timely manner to prevent unforeseen cash flow interruptions of government reimbursements.
  • Develop and maintain a master data file for all documentation relating to the filing of all government provider enrollments necessary to maintain billing compliance.
  • Serve as an expert consultant to senior leadership regarding regulatory reporting requirements related to provider enrollments and updates.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations concerning Medicare provider-based designations


What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Credentialing Specialist credentialed from the National Association Medical Staff Services preferred.


Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.


Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience preferred.


Additional Preferences

  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to motivation to learn new technical skill-set and new database platforms.
  • Previous experience in provider enrollment.
