Senior Regulatory & Government Relations Manager
We are looking for a Senior Regulatory & Government Relations Manager to ensure our courses meet all required regulations. Reporting to the Director of PMO, this role is a critical link between planning and execution of our online courses. ABOUT YOUR NEW TEAM
The Aceable PMO team is redefining how a PMO functions in an organization. Our team enables success across the entire company. In some cases, that means researching and documenting state regulations, in others it’s waterfall project management, and in yet other cases, it’s coordinating the launch of a new course, or filling in for the role of scrum master for an engineering team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Review and improve regulatory processes and procedures on an ongoing basis for courses in multiple verticals for multiple brands. Confer with leadership on regulatory questions and improvements as needed.
- Document, organize and disseminate processes, rules and procedures in order to train internal stakeholders and inform them of critical regulatory knowledge.
- Track school and course renewal deadlines, and submit renewal documentation and fees in a timely fashion in order to maintain active approvals for multiple verticals.
- Create and proactively manage relationships with regulatory and government contacts to make communication easy.
- Attend public regulatory and government meetings (about one per month) to raise flags or gain clarification with regulatory entities and communicate with relevant stakeholders as appropriate to achieve and maintain compliance.
- Keep the business informed of any regulatory updates and proactively identify gaps in our product or offering that might need to be addressed. Work with internal and external stakeholders to address any deficiencies in our course submissions.
- For certain schools and courses, manage the submission of quarterly and yearly reports, state requested data, and audit materials to regulatory and government bodies.
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory and government bodies, leading the internal effort to obtain the answers from the correct department owners.
- Research, document, and communicate in-depth regulatory approval requirements to be used by Product, Engineering, and Learning Experience teams as the company expands into new states or verticals.
- Lead in-depth course-specific reviews for internal stakeholders to bring awareness of all rules, proactively identify blockers, and assist in scoping the work to be done for a successful product launch.
- Submit and manage all applications and documentation to regulatory and government bodies, as the Company expands into new states or verticals.
- Identify and maintain relationships with instructors of record across multiple verticals.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Proven ability to manage and lead large, complex software engineering projects with multiple business stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with C-suite executives and ability to align project management best practices and reporting with strategic goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Even-keeled while being driven by a sense of urgency.
- Able to navigate conflicting requirements and opinions to drive decision-making
- Experience working in a Agile development environments and using the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence)
