As the Rodeo Specialist, you’ll represent YETI to the youth rodeo and barrel racing community. You are a highly motivated marketer with a deep personal passion for the western way of life. You love talking with people and making connections. You’re a cowboy/girl yourself, and a perfect day off would be working with a young barrel prospect or roping a fresh pen of steers. You have no problem talking team roping, barrel racing, bronc riding or even reined cow horse with a first-time rodeo spectator or icons like Trevor Brazile and Sherry Cervi. You thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing entrepreneurial environments. You aren’t afraid to take initiative and run with projects with varying levels of direction.
A look at your day-to-day
- Introduce and Build up YETI Select in the rodeo and barrel racing community
- Align, service and maintain day to day relationships with youth rodeo and barrel racing associations along with premiere equine facilities that host these events
- Mine for new talent and alignments within the category, understanding any shifts in the influencer community
- Act as an internal consultant for the broader marketing team as it pertains to the youth rodeo and barrel racing communities
- Assist YETI in maintaining relevance and authenticity in the community
- Ensure YETI is in front of any major shifts within the community
- Actively outreaching in person or over the phone/email to persons of relevance as stated in the deliverable
- Proactive in handling our association agreements and brand partner relationships
- Proactive in our communication with our YETI Select group
- Handle customer service needs in a timely manner for our influencer community within the youth rodeo and barrel racing category
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time
- Assist with production and staffing of consumer-facing events on behalf of the YETI brand
- Installation & dismantle booth infrastructure
- Product orders, merchandising & shipping
- Event staffing
Now for a little bit about you….
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- 5+ years of experience of interfacing and/or working in the western industry, which can include rodeo and event-specific associations, producers, western lifestyle retailers or brands in the western industry
- You must be able to handle and manage multiple relationships in a timely manner with the highest level of customer service
- The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize travel and time dealing with influencers in the field
- Goal oriented with high standards for excellence
