Description

 

The SaaS Application Administrator reports to the Manager of IT Applications and is responsible for ensuring the secure and reliable operation of the SaaS applications that SailPoint uses to run its business. This position will perform two primary functions:

  • SaaS Application Administration. This includes planning, implementing, configuring, updating, maintaining, and monitoring SaaS applications to ensure reliable system operation per best practices.
  • SaaS Functional Management. This involves managing SaaS applications at the business level and includes daily and weekly tasks such as workflow design, schema configuration, group management, data organization, data input/output, API integrations, reporting and analytics. These functional tasks will be performed for the SaaS apps that the IT organization is functionally responsible for such as Slack, Jira, Box and Smartsheet.

 

This position will work closely with all other areas of the business, including the business unit functional managers who are responsible for front-end management of SaaS applications. Expect to work with engineering, professional services, sales, marketing, finance, etc. in support of the company's SaaS landscape. A successful candidate will bring new ideas and rethink possibilities as we build and expand the efficiency of our IT application ecosystem. This role will be in a fast-paced environment and the candidate is expected to become self-sufficient within 3-6 months.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Application Administration

  • Troubleshoot application issues; work with vendor support organizations as appropriate
  • Ensure the security of the application and its use per security policy and best practices
  • Manage user onboarding/offboarding and user access governance for each application
  • Monitor license utilization and work with business units ensure efficient use of licenses
  • Manage data backup and disaster recovery activities
  • Ensure changes are made in accordance with the corporate change management policy
  • Assist with maintaining SaaS architectural standards and roadmap for the company
  • Assist with the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new SaaS business applications as well as integrations with other systems
  • Work closely with other organizations to optimize the applications for evolving business needs

 

Cloud Application Functional Management

  • Workflow design and management, content management, process flows, space and group management, data organization, data import/export, project management, reporting and analytics
  • Map business requirements into solutions within the application
  • Manage day-to-day business activities within the application
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the application; help and support other users within the application
  • Develop educational and training materials for users

Required Skills

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years experience in business application administration and functional management
  • 1-2 years experience administrating and integrating Cloud-based applications (Salesforce, Slack, Smartsheet, Box, Jira, and SpringCM experience is a plus)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and quickly resolving issues, along with a solid understanding of the ticket lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of APIs and scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, etc.) is a plus
  • Strong ability to learn new processes and applications quickly
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Familiarity with continuous delivery model and agile development processes
  • Demonstrates good judgment in the selection and implementation of business solutions
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with business stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors to C-level executives
  • Team player that communicates well both written and verbally
  • Ability to work on problems of significant scope independently
  • Ability to describe technical topics in a non-technical manner
  • Truly enjoys delivering IT solutions and a strong desire to see the continued acceptance and success of those solutions at SailPoint
