SCOPE OF ROLE

Bright is seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Enterprise Business Applications team. This position is an opportunity to build from the ground up and imprint on the future. The position includes technical work in Oracle Cloud ERP implementation as the subject matter expert for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, planning, designing, implementing and support OCI cloud solutions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build out, support, and administer production, testing, and development environments in OCI
  • Define OCI technology roadmap to support business functions and integrations
  • Provide operational support for ATP databases, Object Storage, Oracle Data Integration, Identity, and compute and networking in OCI
  • Support development and documentation of architecture and network blueprints
  • Provide automation support for cloud resource provisioning
  • Build and maintain OCI monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
  • Work with enterprise cloud infrastructure teams and Oracle product support to resolve issues and prevent downtime
  • Perform user provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud roles and resources
  • Manage and monitor service detail and service notifications related to patching, critical updates, downtime
  • View account usage, export consumption metric data and provide reports on consumptions and billing
  • Maintain security posture, data privacy, and governance standards
  • Support quarterly SOx reviews

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database Administration
  • 3+ years of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and on-premises infrastructure experience is preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience on Oracle Integration Services
  • 2+ years’ experience of OCI, ODI and ATP database administration in PaaS environment
  • OCI Certification is preferred
  • Analytical thinker with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional management & organizational skills enabling real time prioritization
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
  • Experience at a publicly traded company and with ITGC and SOX compliance is preferred.
