We have an exciting new role open and are adding a Senior Procurement Manager role to our growing team. This pivotal role will make critical contributions on both daily operational and strategic planning levels. 

All Real Chemistry employees are currently working remote; once our offices re-open, this position can work in any of our East Coast offices from Washington DC to Boston. We will also consider fully remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a critical point of contact between the company and vendors.

• Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic vendors to improve business opportunities and efficiencies.

• Work closely with the Compliance, Finance, and Legal departments to ensure risk assessments and contract terms are acceptable.

• Develop operational policy and guidelines for the procurement process across the business.

• Manage the current subscription and software services vetting, usage, compliance, and renewal processes.

• Implement change and develop new processes to better procure goods and services.

• Negotiate business terms with vendors to obtain best price and service.

• Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls, and processes.

• Educate the organization about the procurement processes.

Some Strategic Projects this Role will Lead:

• Recommend staffing, software, and technological solutions to scale the procurement functions in alignment with company growth plans.

• Work across the organization to increase Supplier Diversity options and partnerships.

• Systemically connect procurement to the accounts payable process.

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:

• Master's degree in related field and/or industry procurement certifications preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills geared toward reaching decisions efficiently and effectively.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing procurement process improvements.

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Experience:

• 4+ year experience working in the procurement department in a related field.

• Experience working in rapid-growth companies with over 1,500 employees and multiple locations.
