The Opportunity:

The Active Directory Engineer provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. You will resolve and complete assigned cases and change requests and raise support issues. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and helps resolve courses of action for new application initiatives. Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory and Windows file services architecture creation and management, global system security and policy configuration, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Group Policy Object management
  • Designing, writing, and maintaining PowerShell automation scripts
  • DNS Management
  • Operational Support: Identify, pursue problems and address issues as they arise
  • Build and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and improvements to existing solutions or documentation
  • Participate in resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of server resources, systems and key processes
  • Assist with training users as required

Required Skills/Experiences:

  • B.S. degree in a computer science, information technology, computer related discipline or 3+ years IT work experience in a global information technology infrastructure
  • Superb interpersonal skills with ability to work multi-functionally across multiple teams
  • Proven understanding of Active Directory topology - Sites, Replication Links, Subnets, Trusts
  • Understanding of granular delegation of permissions in Active Directory
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills
  • Experience using PowerShell for automation
  • Good understanding of the creation and deletion of DNS records,DNS forwarding, and DNS client configuration
  • Basic understanding of SSL certificates used with LDAPS (Secure LDAP), Machine Authentication Certificates, Wi-Fi Access, and Website Access
  • General understanding of networking, including IP subnets,VLANs, and NIC Teaming
  • Critical thinking and analysis skills: The ability to methodically identify causes of problems, understand impact of a problem, plan and implement resolution of the problem, document findings
  • Log Analysis: User is experienced using Windows Event Logs, Splunk, Syslogs, Application Logs, etc.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Familiar with Jenkins or other script runner
  • Familiar with Okta or other SSO solution provider
  • Experience with Git/GitHub for handling administrative scripts
  • Exchange/Office 365 administrative experience
  • Certificate Authority administration experience
  • Knowledge of Load Balance VIPs
  • AWS Cloud experience, AWS IAM experience
