What You Will Do
Responsibilities:
- Serves customers as a key point of contact. Manages customer expectations and ensures prompt and complete customer service. Forms productive networks with internal and external customers and the vendor community. Produces project plans, RFP's, and RFI's. Customizes presentations to the interests of the audience.
- Conducts diagnosis of most business problems. Designs, directs and performs analyses to resolve complex first-time project issues including analysis of technical and economic feasibility of proposed system solutions.
- Designs projects with broad implications requiring systems integration of one or more technical platforms. Leads design sessions by presenting logical statements of business problems and designs.

- Responds to user questions by listening, clarifying and responding within scope of responsibility.
- Explains technologies and presents deliverables to customers.
- Participates in project design, contributing technical insights and ideas. Helps formulate project scope and objectives.
- Able to manage data from multiple sources.
- Troubleshoots most application problems independently, documenting and researching resolution while in development.
- Writes fundamental documentation in a clear, concise manner and according to standards.
- Shares knowledge effectively within the work team and operations team when transitioning work to production phase.
- Mentors less experienced developers and provides training as needed within or outside of AIS to other analytics groups on tools and visualizations.
- Develops and provides visual, spoken and written education related to data analysis and data visualizations to other functions across Ascension.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Architecture and Product Development resources in the planning, design, deployment, and testing of new or enhanced solutions
- Serves as lead consultant to all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
- Four years of experience preferred
- Seven + years of experience preferred.
Desired Work Experience
- Experience in Healthcare operations or understanding of Healthcare data
- Experience with Tableau or other analytics visualization software development and support
- Understanding of database schemas and data flow diagrams
- Critical thinking, analytical skills and business acumen needed to make decisions, solve problems and manage time.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to grasp technological opportunities and apply them to operations
- Self-starter with excellent customer service skills, ability to problem solve, and self-directed
Preferred Work Experience:
- Prior experience in BI (OBIEE, Business Objects etc.) application support
- Hands on experience in reviewing and programming SQL queries, importing and exporting data from different databases like SQL and Oracle etc.
- Demonstrated success documenting technical specifications
- Hands on experience in Analysis, Design, Coding and Testing phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/Product Management principles.
What You Will Need
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required
Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience preferred.
