What You’ll Do Here:
As a Senior Applications System Consultant, you will be an integral part of the Quantitative Analytics team with exciting opportunity to learn and drive significant business results for our customers. You will partner closely with other internal teams to discover client needs, design innovative solutions, and deliver those solutions to our clients. As a recognized subject matter expert within the organization, you will provide quantitative expertise and solutions toward a variety of interesting and complex problems. You will play a key role within the Professional Services group by partnering with other domain experts to jointly craft data-driven solutions for our largest clients. You will draw on your ability to proactively influence people and projects with a high degree of independent decision making and minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise on the PrecisionLender application regarding product configuration and calculation methodologies to internal teams and external clients.
Evaluate and understand legacy pricing tools and methodologies of prospect banks. Identify capability & calculation gaps between legacy bank pricing tools and PrecisionLender.
Explain PrecisionLender engine calculations to existing and future client banks.
Advise internal pricing and engine development teams on design of financial calculations.
Advise Client Development and Service Delivery teams on PrecisionLender financial calculations, including capital / credit loss / funding / liquidity methodologies, regulatory calculations, pricing strategies, and profitability metrics.
Research and advise internal teams on current and future banking regulation including Basel capital requirements and IFRS 9 and CECL requirements for expected credit loss.
Act as lead consultant from Quantitative Analytics team on all Professional Services data solutions.
Collaborate with other Professional Services domain experts (custom Andi skills, Market Insights, Tableau dashboards) to develop Applied Banking Insights packaged solutions for new and existing PrecisionLender customers.
Build custom datasets from PrecisionLender L3 data mart to address customer business needs.
Provide subject matter expertise on PrecisionLender support questions from customers.
Develop and present succinct analyses of complex data or analytics to internal teams.
Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate Preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or similar.
8+ years of experience in financial institutions, preferably within a large, complex bank.
5+ years working with banks in Commercial Loan Pricing, Credit Risk Management, Quantitative Finance, Analytics, or similar functions. Preference will be given to candidates having demonstrated experience across combinations of these roles in leading financial companies.
2+ years of experience writing code with Python/Java/C# or similar.
2+ years of experience working with database technologies (Spark, Databricks, SQL Server preferred)
Knowledge of commercial banking products, particularly credit and treasury products.
Experience working with credit risk concepts, including economic and regulatory capital.
Deep experience with financial modeling (experience with loan pricing models preferred).
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred).
