Are you an experienced Azure Architect/Engineer? Do you enjoy working in fast paced environments? Does leveraging cutting-edge technology to reimagine how Healthcare is provided intrigue you? We are the Cloud Computing team at Bright Health, and we are looking for a seasoned Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team. The Cloud Computing team is responsible for setting Cloud architectural standards and ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the Production cloud environments. You will work in a dynamic team and partner with teams across the company to ensure that our Cloud infrastructure meets the needs of our growing customer base.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set Azure architectural standard for our environment moving forward
  • Work closely with our Network Engineering Team to deliver great system performance for our users
  • Work closely with our Data and Engineering Teams to designing best in class Azure system implementations
  • Work closely with our Security Team to make sure our environment is secure and adhering to our SOC2 commitments
  • Periodically provide senior management with an overview of performance and initiatives
  • Build automation for Azure infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Lead Azure team and act as point person for initiatives
  • Establish and maintain documentation for our Azure environment

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology preferred; Five (5) or more years’ experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience with Azure or Azure Solutions Architect Certification
  • Three (3) years leading a team
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Azure stack including VMs, Storage, SQL, NSGs, VNETs, and Azure Active Directory
  • Experience in configuring & monitoring different attributes for applications running in Azure
  • Five (5) years’ Windows Server management and support
  • High proficiency with PowerShell scripting.
  • Good understanding of automation in Azure including API Management, ARM Templates and/or Terraform
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and manage technical projects, including identification of project scope, requirements, deliverables, and coordination of project design and implementation activities
  • Current ITIL Certification preferred
