Sr. Insider Risk Analyst and Facility Security Officer
About the Role:
The dual-hatted Senior Insider Risk Specialist/Facility Security Officer (FSO) is a member of the Chief Security Officer’s Global Security team, and will play a key role to implement and maintain the Insider Threat and Industrial Security programs. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Security and will be responsible for performing a wide range of functions to ensure the protection of company sensitive and government classified information. The successful candidate will oversee and action matters concerning national security compliance as is relates to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Operating Manual (NISPOM) and United States (US) Department of Defense (DoD) directives. The successful candidate will also manage day-to-day functions of the Insider Threat Program and serve as program subject matter expert. CrowdStrike is looking for somebody with a passion for insider threat and physical security, counterintelligence, and national security.
Senior Insider Risk Specialist Duties & Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
Coordinate Insider Threat Program on behalf of Global Security, in concert with Information Security, Legal and Human Resources
Analyze and brief identified threats and vulnerabilities to senior leaders
Develop and deploy mitigation strategies, in coordination with Information Security, Legal and Human Resources
Implement and administer annual insider threat security education, training and awareness
Stay up-to-date on latest industry and regulatory standards related to insider threat mitigation, ensuring their integration into CrowdStrike internal processes
FSO Duties & Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the company’s Industrial Security Program, ensuring compliance with government regulations
Responsible for staying up-to-date on the latest security requirements for all cleared federal contractor employees
Examine program operations and procedures to identify deficiencies, recommend corrective strategies and implement remedial actions as necessary
Manage facility clearance (FCL) by means of NISS facility profile to include responding to FCL packages and submitting changed condition packages
Prepare for and participate in external security compliance audits, inspections, assessments and reviews conducted by government agencies
Perform annual self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations and requirements
Conduct security briefings, debriefings, out-processing and annual refresher training for cleared employees
Train and orient cleared personnel in security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government requirements
Investigate and submit security violations and incident reports in compliance with government requirements and corporate guidelines
Manage clearance verification, visit authorization and visit requests, and prepare and submit initial, reinstatement, crossover and nomination letters
What You’ll Need:
5+ years of direct experience in an insider threat/risk mitigation role OR 5+ years of direct experience as an FSO, Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)
Active US Government (USG) Top Secret (TS) security clearance and US citizenship
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to communicate concepts to all audiences
Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build relationships with internal team members across all levels of the organization
Effective written and oral communication skills, including experience developing and delivering briefings to top management
Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and project management skills
Capacity to adapt quickly and effectively when faced with changing goals, priorities and parameters
Proven ability to work independently with efficiency and flexibility
Bonus Points:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant military experience (years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree)
Practical knowledge of NISPOM and DoD Directives
Practical experience with JPAS, e-QIP, NISS, DISS, SWFT, Scattered Castles or equivalent system(s)
Experience in the USG, DoD, US Intelligence Community (IC) or defense contractor community
Practical experience leading others, assigning tasks and prioritizing workloads
Practical experience advising team leaders on security policy and guidelines, including executive-level presentation skills
Practical experience developing, implementing and administering security education, training and awareness
Practical knowledge of and experience with insider threat/risk best practices
Completion of FSO Orientation for Non-Possessing Facilities IS020.CU (CDSE)
Relevant certification in one or more security disciplines (e.g., Sec+, CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CCITP, etc.)
Note: Selected applicant will be subject to an extensive background check and must continually meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Continued eligibility for and maintenance of a TOP SECRET clearance is required for this position.
