Responsibilities:

As an Operations Director, the expectation is that you will work with leadership to continue to drive the business forward, with an ongoing focus on managing the current business in production, managing all operational processes and performance metrics. With the business transitioning from “start-up” to scaled, the work environment will be very demanding, very fast-paced, and highly collaborative.

The Operations Director is responsible for keeping track of the big picture and identifying potential areas of improvement. The Operations Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Ongoing focus on identifying process improvements, reducing the points of friction across the business model, identifying solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue

  • Build out organizational structure and fill with the appropriate team to execute strategy

  • Identify opportunities to drive operational leverage including technology-based workflow identification and implementation

  • Identifying opportunities to expand or pivot to the business to take advantage of market conditions and/or partnerships

  • Drive the team to work at a high level through ongoing and transparent communication

  • Maintain communication across the different Amherst teams departments to ensure alignment, foster teamwork, and reduction of friction

  • Participate in long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals

  • Any other business tasks as required to expand and scale the Studio Build business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, Masters a plus

  • 8-10 years minimum working experience with 4-6 years of experience in organizational leadership of a team or cross-functional team

  • Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
