    The Forcepoint Technical Trainer is responsible for the delivery of highly technical network and data security products to Forcepoint customers and partners. In this position, the Technical Trainer will be responsible for creating and maintaining the virtual lab environments, establishing the physical/virtual classroom environment, delivery of the technical training course, effective network and data security demonstrations in live lab environments, and live lab environment troubleshooting. The Technical Trainer must be skilled in both hardware and network troubleshooting skills, as well as having a solid background with virtualization technologies to effectively deliver the Forcepoint technical training courses.

    Essential Functions

    • Deliver highly technical, detailed, and engaging classroom/virtual technical training on Forcepoint web security, data security and network security products
    • Create, update, troubleshoot and maintain complex virtual lab environments
    • Become technical expert on Forcepoint web security, data security and network security products and their interaction with 3rd party network services/devices
    • Understand and be able to explain/train on product architecture and internal module workflow
    • Work closely with the Sales/Sales Engineering, Channel, and Technical Training teams to develop the individual modules, which are part of the course curricula
    • Create and deliver technical update presentations and trainings on new product features and 3rd party interoperability enhancements
    • Contribute to the design, creation, and constant update of the virtual technical training materials
    • Review and edit all material before is published
    • Collaborate with the rest of the team to create state of the art CBT module for delivery via LMS
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

     

    Education, Experience, and Skills

    • Bachelor Degree in English , Technical Writing or technical disciplines (computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics)
    • Technical Training certification a plus or equivalent experience
    • Technical certification a plus: CCNA, CCNP, CISP, etc. or equivalent experience
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Animated and engaging communication style
    • Ability to convey technical concepts easily
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Ability to work well with a worldwide team

     

    Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

    • 5+ years experience delivering technical training courses (classroom and virtual training delivery)
    • Knowledge of and experience in the design, implementation and support of VMware environments
    • Intermediate technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and services in a multi-site topology, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
    • Advanced experience with the OSI model, TCP/IP, topology, and securing Internet traffic
    • Experience diagnosing hardware and network issues and implementing solutions
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Experience creating CBT modules with Adobe Connect, Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.
    • Excellent command of the English language

We are located in the North Austin area by The Domain, off of Braker between Mopac and 183. Our office patio overlooks Quarry Lake.
