As an integral member of the Technology Alliances Business Development team, this individual contributor role is responsible for securing technical wins with partners, designing and delivering the integration of products. This person will master the Ping Identity architecture story to engage in deep dive technical discussions with partners and convincingly deliver demonstrations based on Technology Alliance Partner and/or Technology Alliance Partner's customers' needs. Ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude with good business acumen and relationship-building skills and expertise in communicating technical and business concepts.

Job Functions:

  • Co-ordinate and manage technical meetings with Technology Alliance Partners and customer opportunities involving strategic Technology Alliance Partners.
  • Act as primary technical resource in initial planning meetings for technology alliance integrations - proxy for product management's role in technical discussions.
  • Engage in technical discussions with network and security architects.
  • Assist Technology Alliance Partners with development, configuration and support of integrations.
  • Develop & deliver deep dive technical training sessions to enable our Technology Alliance Partners and Regional Systems Architecture teams to understand and promote Technology Alliance Partner integrations and joint solutions.
  • Author documentation, configuration guides, technical blogs and knowledge base articles.
  • Build-out reference architectures to include Technology Alliance Partner products.
  • Test and validate new integrations as well as regression testing of existing Technology Alliance Partner integrations.
  • Ensure Ping Identity's sales force is fully supported and has the necessary resources to be successful when engaging a Technology Alliance Partner.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in system engineering, IT or similar role.
  • Understanding of http(s), web browser technology, digital certificates and PKI, http cookies, and session management.
  • Deep understanding of security and networking technology including one or more Identity and Access Management disciplines, such as: authentication, authorization, federation, access management etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on complex solution integration projects, from start to finish, including prototypes, design specifications, managing POCs, etc.
  • Strong understanding of how to navigate technical and architectural discussions.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or equivalent work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • LDAP skills and Directory Services. User Account Provisioning and Synchronization services.
  • Identity and authorization standards (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
  • Knowledge of Java web applications and Java application servers
  • Authentication technologies (Kerberos, Multifactor, Mutual TLS, etc.)
  • Programming experience with: Java language and environments (JAVA, .NET, PHP, JavaScript), standards-based protocol integrations and RESTful web services.
  • Mobile application interaction with RESTFul APIs.
  • General networking, including HTTP/S, TCP/IP, load balancers / ADC's (Application Delivery Controller), firewalls, proxies and familiarity with tools for troubleshooting networking issues such as Fiddler.
