The VP of Total Rewards and Operations is a critical force behind the success of the people function. They will be accountable for the design and execution of compensation and benefits philosophies, policies and procedures aligned to business objectives, and tools and resources; ensuring the achievement of consistent market-driven rewards and recognition outcomes that attract, retain, and motivate Cart.com talent. Act as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior leaders across the business driving comprehensive programs spanning the company as we scale from Series B to being public-market ready.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage, train, and develop the Total Rewards Operations team
  • Oversee all systems, tools, reporting, and compliance measures to ensure the people team is able to operationalize people practices and programs across the organization
  • Design and operationalize broad-based compensation programs
  • Work with Chief People Officer, external compensation consultants and Compensation Committee on the strategy, design, and implementation of executive compensation programs
  • Oversee all project and program management activities related to company M&A strategy including the people related work during the due diligence and integration process
  • Design, implement and regularly assess company benefits competitiveness relative to market, ensuring program compliance
  • Design and manage a foundational and scalable job architecture structure including leveling, benchmarking and support our company-wide budgeting and forecasting
  • Establish and evolve the use of talent analytics to best inform decisions around our people practices and programs
  • Collaborate with the Senior Talent team to maintain, develop and champion our diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) culture and environment, ensuring our DEI efforts are infused throughout our talent guidelines, practices, and processes

Qualifications:

  • Proven success leading total rewards and operations in high growth startups venture backed startups from Series A/B to IPO
  • Strong people tech knowledge and experience leading decision-making processes around HR tech, implementation and integration
  • Compensation design and execution
  • Ability to communicate well and influence across all levels of the organization including at the leadership and board level
  • Outstanding project management and operational chops
  • Strong understanding of employment law and compliance
  • Knows how to have fun!

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with M&A strategy and integration
  • Experience implementing an HRIS
  • Experience working in a SaaS business

Our headquarters is located in Austin, Tx at the address listed. The majority of our roles are flexible hybrid for employees who live within the cities where we have offices and remote for employees who are not located in those cities.
