About the Role

The Namely Payroll Consultant for the Managed Services Organization will be a product expert with Namely’s Payroll platform and will be responsible for the day-to-day payroll needs for Namely clients. As the Namely Payroll Specialist, you’ll also be responsible for maximizing the Namely Payroll experience and utilization. Get ready to serve as a payroll subject matter expert and focus on accurate and seamless payroll processing for Namely Managed Services clients.

As a Payroll subject matter expert, Namely Managed Services clients will depend upon their Payroll Consultant to process their payroll per their requirements. You will be in continuous contact with Namely Managed Services clients and will need to keep abreast of clients census and priorities.

 

Responsibilities  

  • As Namely’s Payroll product expert, provide ongoing support and assist the client with day-to-day payroll needs including, but not limited to, making client-directed system changes, processing on-cycle and off-cycle payrolls, importing payroll hours, processing payroll modifications/corrections, conducting payroll audits and reviewing/delivering payroll reports.
  • Leverage deep understanding of current payroll and tax concepts/regulations to act as a partner in ensuring accurate payroll processing in Namely Payroll.
  • Analyze and form a thorough understanding of each client’s unique payroll needs and provide advice on best practices.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for payroll and tax questions.
  • Ensure that Namely has all required registration and tax filing information.
  • Collaborate with a team of Namely subject matter experts in HRIS, Benefits and HR Consulting on assigned book of business
  • Partner with payroll and tax operations, product and engineering teams to resolve client needs.

 

Requirements  

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with multi-corporation, multi-state payroll processing, including experience with payroll, tax and wage and hour regulations.
  • Proven ability to successfully build strong relationships with clients.
  • Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally while advocating for client’s best interest.
  • A blend of big-company business and process management experience, with the ability to translate needs to entrepreneurial/startup organizations.
  • Ability to use critical thinking, complex problem solving skills and independent judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred, FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) required.
