Broadcom is seeking a principal Portfolio Solutions Architect to develop our next generation of modern private cloud pre-sales technical guidance, implementation and operational consulting services, and post-sales lifecycle support offerings.  If you enjoy building technology-centric delivery assets to drive high impact, high consistency results for customers evaluating, implementing, and adopting private cloud and modern applications infrastructure, read on.

VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is the world’s leading modern private cloud infrastructure platform, providing a secure and resilient solution to developers and IT organizations globally.  Our VCF Services Portfolio and Engineering organization is charged with building and scaling a focused portfolio of solutions architecture, consulting services, and lifecycle support delivery materials for our regional technical field teams and partners.

You will be joining a group of driven, customer-obsessed technologists helping customers realize the full potential of VCF utilizing VMware Validated Solutions and VMware Validated Designs.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

As a Portfolio Solutions Architect, you will gather regional pre-sales and post-sales functional requirements, develop technical solutions, and enable the ultimate success of our practitioners and Expert Advantage Partners serving customers worldwide.  Your success will be measured through the lens of impact on customer value realization and consumption growth resulting from launching and scaling execution of high quality offers and engagement delivery materials for your assigned area.  You will:

  • Identify and quantify opportunities to drive core consumption growth

  • Develop and execute a solutions architecture, services and lifecycle support roadmap for offerings and programs to accelerate customer consumption, adoption, and value realization

  • Continuously measure and improve performance and customer consumption impact of technical assets for central and regional services and lifecycle support delivery teams

Experience : Bachelors and 12+ years of related experience; at this level a post-graduate degree is typically expected or Masters degree and 10+ years of related experience or PhD and 7+ years of related experience

You will execute this role with a high degree of focus on technical innovation and accountability to the success of Broadcom’s VCF Division objectives.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

You will require a strong mix of business and technical acumen in this role, operating with a cross-functional mindset that considers both Division and regional objectives in driving growth.  Experience with consumption-oriented software businesses and applications development may be helpful.  Critical thinking and problem solving skills will be applied throughout the service and lifecycle support development process and program execution phases of your work.

You will be directly accountable for producing high quality VMware Cloud Foundation modern private cloud and application infrastructure pre-sales and services delivery assets, which may include standardized future state architecture, services scoping, technical adoption, delivery materials, technical enablement resources, and best practice documentation.  In addition, you will partner closely with product and services engineering and solution architecture as well as product and services marketing, program management,  delivery leadership and practitioners to achieve expected impacts for our customers and our business.

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits 

The annual base salary range for this position is $106,900 - - $190,000
 

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
