The Director of Product Management is accountable for the creation, maintenance and communication of their product(s) vision, strategy and roadmap. You are responsible for growing and leading a Product Management team of Product Manager and Product Owner roles to help plan and deliver on that roadmap. Working with other Product Directors you will ensure a cohesive strategy that supports and complements the Product team strategic goals, and the goals of the wider business. Working with other senior leaders you will ensure alignment of your strategy with sales and marketing activity.

What you will be doing:

  • Own and prioritise a Strategy and Roadmap required to deliver and maintain your aligned Product(s) in line with agreed company and department goals
  • Lead a team of Product Managers/Product Owners
  • Establish feedback loops to ensure sales enablement and product marketing is effective
  • Work with the Office of the CTO to understand current state of Incubator projects and factor into the roadmap how they may become part of your product(s)
  • Stakeholder management 
  • Constant communication to drive alignment between Product Marketing and Engineering teams
  • Broker big decisions between Leadership/Exec and Product

What we are looking for:

  • Prior experience in and understanding of a data-focused field- ideally data integration, governance, quality, automation, analytics or similar 
  • Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, with a great ability to generate positivity, excitement and inclusivity within the teamExcellent communication to all stakeholder seniority levels
  • Confident in engaging in strategic and commercial discussions with the rest of the Product team and Executive team members
  • Strong persuasion and skills to influence others without authority and encourage collaboration between stakeholders
  • Advanced presentation skills, able to present ideas/concepts to stakeholders with clarity and confidence and obtain high quality outputs from collaborative tasks
  • Proactively contributes to conversations about best practice and approach, identifying and acting on opportunities to improve team performance and structure
  • Proactive self-organisation and ability to plan own work, and work of the team, in line with department priorities
  • Persuasive and convincing demeanour - success in this role will require effort from many other people and teams, therefore getting people on-side and motivating them to achieve shared goals will be important
