As a Senior Level Designer, your primary goal will be to help level up the ShipStation web app, improve our design culture, and round out our execution of products that provide high customer and business value.

ShipStation

Here at ShipStation, we’re passionate about helping online businesses become more efficient. We save thousands of merchants hours every day by automating the fulfillment side of their business. Very few people start a business because they love shipping packages. We exist to help entrepreneurs manage this painful but critical part of their business. We partner with top ecommerce and shipping companies to make a previously complicated and labor intensive process simple and enjoyable for the user.

Design at ShipStation

Design and product are central to ShipStation’s growth strategy. We have made significant investments in both areas to show our commitment and passion for both practices.

We like to think of design at ShipStation as an emerging discipline. We’re creating a design system, research program, and design practices all at once. Designers who join our team will be able to make a huge contribution not only to the product, but to the structure and culture of the design team itself. Every improvement to our application enables an entrepreneur to invest more time in their company, health, hobbies or friends and family.

Attributes of a Senior-Level Designer

We’re looking for a high performer with years of experience under their belt. You have seen a product from conception to launch, while working closely with development. You’ve worked on projects where you’ve set out to move a metric and have the instrumentation to know whether you hit your goal or not – and have learned from your successes and failures.

At ShipStation, designers who are senior-level individual contributors work at the intersection of users, customer support agents, product managers, designers and engineers. They can simultaneously push ShipStation to be better while also blending with engineering and product teams to iterate our way to success.

You’ll be joining a team of 5 product and marketing designers at our Austin headquarters.
