About the Product

Medici is a healthcare platform that puts the power of modern communication tools in the hands of all Doctors and Patients. About You

As a Product Designer at Medici, you will be the expert in human-centered design on your agile team. You will team up with members of the Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to take a new product idea, enhancement, or concept and bring it to life by leading the design process. With your ability to conduct user research, organize internal ideation sessions, and synthesize findings with your team, you help drive the product forward by being the voice of the user. You have a deep understanding of mobile and web-based applications along with sound design decision-making principles. You’re data-driven, detail-oriented, and above all else, you are fun to work with!

Responsibilities

  • Lead user research initiatives to support design and product decisions
  • Lead design on your agile team, generating new ideas and working with stakeholders to make them a reality
  • Prototype ideas (wireframes, InVision, code…whatever works for the situation) quickly to effectively communicate your ideas
  • Work with Design Teammates to help establish, nurture, and promote a scalable design system
  • Have a deep understanding of the user needs, and advocate for them while juggling technology, business, and industry constraints
  • Contribute to the Product Team through collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing

QualificationsMust-Have

  • 5+ years of experience in creating outstanding user experiences on web and mobile apps
  • You’ve got strong opinions, which you can backup with user test results, best practices, and/or data but have the emotional intelligence to work with a diverse array of opinions and constraints
  • You know Figma, Sketch, InVision, or comparable tools
  • You are a self-starter who can do excellent work without much oversight
  • You excite others about your ideas with confidence and concise articulation
  • You’re eager to be a part of a growing Product Team at Medici. We’re looking for folks who can make a positive contribution to the culture of collaboration and iteration
  • Soft skills set including communication, friendly, approachable, open to ideas, generous giver and receiver of feedback

Nice to Have

  • Bonus points if you know how to code in any language, or at least know how to talk code with developers
  • Degree or certifications in design, management, business, marketing, healthcare, or technology/computer science
  • Knowledge of healthcare competitive landscape, including companies, services, influencers and trends
  • Strong meme/gif game
