Product Manager, App Enablement

Bright Health’s Bright Enablement Product team will support the definition and creation of products for Bright Health Plan. You will work with stakeholders across the company to distill common needs, define executable requirements, and build useful features.
Collaborators will include fellow product owners, operations leads, market leads, network contractors, engineers and database architects as needed to understand business needs and envision technology solutions.
You will play an important role in determining how best to use technical resources to support Bright Health’s efforts to revolutionize the payer industry.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product development in alignment with the Bright Health Product Strategy within the
  • Experiences Product Division
  • Manage the entire product development cycle from strategic planning to launch and post-launch optimization
  • Drive alignment on our product strategy across many business stakeholders
  • Create detailed roadmaps, prioritize relentlessly, and communicate trade-offs internally
  • Work closely with engineering to represent the voice of key stakeholders during the design/development process
  • Document and disseminate both internal documentation as well as business-facing and business-appropriate reference materials that reflect the detailed configuration of Bright Health products
  • Identify and fix process gaps around execution, roll-out, and ongoing support of software projects

About You

  • Strong project management skills and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of typical software development processes, particularly agile software development methodology
  • Experience gathering business requirements and envisioning solutions based on multiple stakeholders and inputs
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders through transparency and follow-up
  • Comfort with making decisions and creating structure in an ambiguous growth company environment
  • Self-management, personal accountability, and strong sense of ownership over work product
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time once normal travel resumes

Professional Experience

  • BA/BS degree required, engineering or information systems area of study preferred
  • Two (2) or more years in a technology environment such as digital health, big tech, or tech consulting
  • Two (2) or more years in consulting or another professional services function preferred
  • Experience coordinating multiple cross-functional teams and initiatives
  • Demonstrated leadership in product definition and implementation or enterprise systems implementations
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is desirable
  • Exposure to and excitement for the healthcare industry is also desirable
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Aha! a plus

A hard-working team player who thinks first and codes next is likely to learn a lot and quickly become a valuable member of the team. Lots of experience with some of our tooling is always nice, but if someone can't knowledge-share well or responds poorly to code reviews and other requests for collaboration, it'll be a tough fit.

Modeling after my manager, I like to provide both regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings, where developers and engineers get to set the agenda. We can talk about career development, design and architecture ideas, industry trends, or traditional HR topics like goal setting. It’s up to them. I also have begun setting regular “office hours.”
